1. What Money Runway is — and isn't

Money Runway provides online calculators and tools and general factual information. That's all it is.

• We are not a financial adviser and do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) or an Australian Credit Licence.
• Nothing on this site is financial product advice, personal advice, a recommendation, or an opinion intended to influence you in making a financial decision.
• The tools perform calculations based solely on the figures you enter and present factual information. They do not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs.
• We do not provide tax, legal, credit or accounting advice.

2. Get your own advice

Before making any financial, investment, superannuation, tax, borrowing or insurance decision, you should obtain advice from an appropriately licensed financial adviser, registered tax agent, and/or licensed mortgage broker who can consider your personal circumstances. A free starting point is the Australian Government's MoneySmart (moneysmart.gov.au) and the ATO (ato.gov.au).

3. Estimates only — no guarantees

All outputs are estimates and rely on simplified assumptions you can change. They ignore many real-world factors (which may include tax, fees, inflation, CGT, franking, transaction costs, rate and rule changes, and sequencing of returns) and are not predictions or guarantees of any outcome. Australian rules referenced (e.g. superannuation caps, preservation age, the downsizer contribution, Division 296, CGT, FBT, the Medicare Levy Surcharge) are summarised for general context and may change.

4. Market data

Any market prices are sourced from third parties and provided "as is". They may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate and must not be relied upon for trading or investment decisions.

5. Your data

The figures you enter are stored in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to or stored by us, except an email address you choose to submit to our waitlist. See our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own records; we are not responsible for any loss of locally-stored data.

6. No warranty & limitation of liability

The site and tools are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Money Runway and its operators exclude all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, tools or information. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

7. Intellectual property & acceptable use

The content and tools are owned by Money Runway. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Don't misuse, scrape at scale, or attempt to disrupt the service.

8. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms and the tools at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. By using the site you accept these terms.
